QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds
• Supply dollies and heavy-duty transport carts
• Ability to use a PC, Handheld scanner, Phones, copy machines, Electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, forklift
• Required experience working in an Operating Room (OR) or procedural healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of essential surgical supplies and equipment to support safe and efficient patient care.
• Skilled in OR case picking, including accurate and timely preparation of supplies based on preference cards and procedural needs.
• Experience collaborating with clinical teams (e.g., nursing, anesthesia, surgical staff) to ensure continuity of supply readiness and support patient care operations.
• Required experience in supply and inventory management, including par level maintenance, stock replenishment, and backorder mitigation.
• Experience using supply chain or inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or materials management software) to support ordering, tracking, and inventory control.
• Proven track record of proactively managing and updating par levels to align with current usage
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions with minimal supervision or follow-up.
• Ability to consistently adhere to management direction, including maintaining established processes and priorities despite conflicting requests from external sources.
• Strictly obeys the healthcare regulations for infection control.
• Provides resources information regarding proper sterilization techniques, product information, equipment operation etc. to fellow staff and other healthcare team members, serving as a resource for people needing direction as required.
• Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Actively participates in Quality Management and PIE programs.
• Consistently adheres to Materials Management / Receiving and UCLA Policies and procedures.
• Attends all in-services/workshops as requested. Assists in the orientation and skill development of new staff members. Attends and participates in required fire, safety, disaster, body mechanics, etc classes and/or drills.
• Always ensures a safe, clean working environment for self and co-workers. Monitors and reports unsafe acts or conditions and assists with resolutions.
• Consistently maintains good guest relations interdepartmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format. Demonstrates good telephone etiquette. Is sensitive to co-workers, patients, and family members, in a courteous and respectful manner.
