The Hospital Medicine Service Line Representative, in partnership with the Service Line Director, Executive Medical Director and Medical Directors provides a variety of operational and administrative support to the service line. The Hospital Medicine Service Line is comprised of approximately 150 employees in the Hospitalist, Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine, Psychiatry and Transitional Health Departments. In addition, there are numerous external physician contractors who provide support within the service line. Operational support services include: patient liaison, patient census management, provider scheduling, vendor coordination, medical student liaison, provider recruitment, provider on-boarding/orientation and supply management. The Representative acts as the central processor for the service line regarding call outs, staffing needs and census management. The Representative serves as a contact and resource for the entire service line. Administrative support services include: payroll requirements, data tracking, data reporting, recording keeping, filing systems, preparation of expense reports, preparation of check requests, meeting/interview coordination. The position requires proficient use of multiple software packages including EPIC, Lawson, Lightning Bolt, Kronos, Microsoft Office, Rapid Connect, Smart Web and others.
