Seeking to hire a motivated and experienced Registered Vascular Technologist to work at our outpatient vascular labs. You will work within a highly skilled and experienced vascular lab along with vascular surgeons, and mid-level providers. Candidate must be able to work at a fast-paced outpatient environment with a team-oriented mentality. Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently and independently under the supervision of the technical director. Must be competent at performing and interpreting upper / lower extremity pulse volume recording and segmental pressure studies, peripheral arterial duplex, venous reflux, carotid duplex, and aortic duplex and EVAR exams. Must be competent at interpreting all of the above-mentioned exams and writing formal reports with assistance of reporting templates, in compliance with all diagnostic criteria. At least one year of vascular experience is preferred. Qualifications: Successful completion of a formal ultrasound program or equivalent training, required. Current RVT certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Current RDMS certification preferred. Possess a current Basic Life Support certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment. Prefer at least one-year vascular lab experience. Knowledge of detailed vascular anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures and vascular pathology and presentation. Responsibilities: Explain procedures to patients and / or family members ensuring cooperation and optimum test results and to reduce anxiety. Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams as directed by the provider and/or referring physician. Obtains relevant medical history and demonstrate excellent communication skills when presenting findings to the provider. Maintain equipment. Keep work area and exam rooms clean and safe.
